In this incursion, the children experienced a meet and greet with some beautiful, native Australian animals. Louise, a professionally trained Wildlife Education Officer from Australian Bush Buddies, introduced us to her Glossy Black Cockatoo, a salt-water crocodile, a squirrel glider, and a Western Australian Bobtail Lizard. Louise taught the children that we wouldn't touch these animals in the wild as they might bite or scratch us but that the animals she had with her were safe as they were used to people.
Louise taught us about what each animal looked like, if they had special adaptations to help them in the wild and what they eat. Isn’t Australia lucky to have the most stunning and unique creatures in the world!
